How long have you been coaching?

How long have you been doing CrossFit, weightlifting, or other types of training? What other types.
Since 2018 - coaching soccer since 2009.
How did you first get started with fitness or CrossFit?
It’s still a work progress, but I am looking to stay fit, have fun and make new friends. I have a love/hate relationship with CrossFit. It’s is mostly a hate, but when the love pops up, it’s a good love.
What made you decide to become a coach?
I like coaching more than I do coaching working out - at times. Working with athletes is something I like to do, building relationships with them so they create gains.
What do you enjoy most about coaching?
When the jams are pumping, and I am weaving in and out of the chaos of all the athletes in the class.
Your Coaching Style?
Like Jigsaw, I like to play games before warming up.
What is your favorite movement to teach?
Running. Yes, it’s a movement.
What can members expect when they take one of your classes?
I want you to learn something, be safe in the process and have fun.
What is the most important thing you want athletes to learn from you?
Take the time to understand your body, and how it is talking to you.
What is one piece of advice you would give someone who is nervous about starting CrossFit?
Let’s scale. And have fun.
What is a common mistake you see athletes make, and how do you help them improve it?
They need an ego check sometimes.
What is your favorite lift or movement?
Thrusters.
What is your least favorite lift, movement, or workout?
Lunges
What is your favorite CrossFit workout, benchmark workout, or type of workout?
Murph.
What fitness accomplishment are you most proud of?
Running a half marathon in the middle of the mountains in Montana on 4 hours of sleep.
What fitness goal are you currently working toward?
Hyrox, for now.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at the gym?
Watching soccer with my family.
What is your favorite food, restaurant, music, and movie?
Pizza, Batman Begins, Jaws, Superbad, Slurpees

What do you like most about the Train Harder community?
It’s a place for my to reset if I’ve had a crappy day.
